Web Host Earthnet Launches Xpert.net Linux Web Hosting Services

A self-managed Linux hosting solution enables those customers who want to stay out of the cloud and keep native installs on physical equipment. This is aimed at those companies that are  reluctant to adopting a cloud computing model.

Xpert.net allows the customer to choose from a standard OS like OpenSUSE, Ubuntu or almost any free Linux OS on the web.

The hosting service was engineered by Paul Rennix and Matt Simmons, who saw an opportunity in an affordable, self-managed Linux hosting option.

The Linux hosting solution allows customers to scale up and add the desired number of servers for testing, and cancel next month without a penalty fee.

Xpert’s hosting solutions are offered in three different plans. Economy Server is priced from $69 per month for 1.8 Ghz dual-core server, 2 GB of RAM, 80 MB of hard disk space, and 0.5 Mbps bandwidth, Basic Server is priced from $99 per month for 1.8 Ghz dual-core server, 2 GB of RAM, 80 MB of hard disk space, and 3 Mbps bandwidth, and Performance Server is priced from $139 per month for two 1.8 Ghz dual-core server, 2 GB of RAM, 80 MB of hard disk space, and 3 Mbps bandwidth.
